A small quiz about first impressions.

MyType Quiz shows you fifty portraits, asks one question about each, and tells you which of thirteen everyday looks you rated highest.

How it works

You pick who you would like to see — women, men, or everyone — and then rate each face from 0 (“not really”) to 4 (“yes”). There are no right answers and no trick questions; the useful signal is the one you give in the first second.

Every portrait belongs to one of thirteen styles, from Goth / Alt to Corporate / Polished. The first 26 faces are a balanced set, one per style and sex combination, so every look gets a fair hearing. The last 24 are chosen adaptively: the app keeps track of which styles you are rating warmly and shows you more of them, which cuts the fatigue of fifty decisions without changing the scoring weights.

Your type is the style with the highest average rating across all fifty faces. The “pickier than X%” line comes only from your first 26 ratings, compared with a statistical reference panel — it is an estimate, not a validated population norm.

The portraits

All 300 portraits are AI-generated images of fictional adults, created for this project. They are not photographs of real people, and no real person’s data is involved.

What this is not

It is not a psychological test, a diagnostic tool, or a dating service. A preference for a particular look says very little about who someone is, and fifty photographs say very little about who you will fall for. Take the result as a mirror of first impressions, not a verdict.

Who makes it

MyType Quiz is an independent side project. It runs entirely in your browser: no account, no server-side storage, no analytics. If you want the detail, see privacy.
